New train strike arriving Saturday 25 and Sunday 26 January with consequent inconvenience for travellers who may have to deal with delays, changes and last-minute cancellations. The strike was proclaimed "by some autonomous trade unions" - Cub Trasporti, Usb and Sgb - and will concern the "FS Group personnel Trenitalia, Trenitalia Tper and Trenord”, FS reports in a note.

The strike will have a duration of 24 hours: will start at 21pm on Saturday 25th January and will end at 21pm on Sunday 26 January 2025.

“Trains can sufferand cancellations or changes. The industrial action may lead to changes to the service even before it starts and after it ends", Fs informs 

Strike 25 and 26 January: trains guaranteed

There will be no guarantee bands, but in the event of a "general national strike for the renewal of the collective labor agreement, which falls on a holiday, lasting no more than 24 hours and starting at 21.00:XNUMX p.m. on the day before the holiday, Trenitalia guarantees long-distance trains", Trenitalia informs. How to cancel your trip and ask for a refund

Passengers who intend to cancel their trip can request a refund starting from the strike declaration:

  • up to the departure time of the booked train, for Intercity and Frecce trains;
  • until midnight on the day before the strike itself, for Regional trains; alternatively they can reschedule the journey, under similar transport conditions, as soon as possible, according to seat availability.
