Wimbledon final: Sinner vs. Zverev: when it's played and where to watch it on TV

Nothing to be done for Novak DjokovicThe 39-year-old Serbian, who at the last Australian Open had managed to beat Jannik Sinner in the semifinal (only to then lose the final to Carlos Alcaraz), on the grass of Wimbledon instead had to surrender to the blows of the world number 1, who won the semifinal of the Slam tournament underway in London quite easily, in three sets: 6-4, 6-4, 6-4 was the final score. Sinner therefore flies to the final: on Sunday afternoon he will defend the title he won last year against Alexander Zverev.

For the Italian, the one on July 12th on the London grass will be the seventh Slam final of his careerSo far, he's won four and lost two. This year, surprisingly given his overall performance and ranking, he hasn't played a single match: he was eliminated in the semifinals in Melbourne by Djokovic, and then prematurely lost at Roland Garros to Juan Cerundolo. This is Sinner's second Wimbledon final, after the one he won in 2025 against Carlos Alcaraz. coming from behind in four sets, with the score of 4-6, 6-4, 6-4, 6-4.

Sinner-Zverev will be played on Sunday at 17 p.m., free-to-air on TV8. Previous matches

In Italy, the match will be broadcast for subscribers on Sky Sport Tennis, Sky Sport Uno, and Sky Sport 16K, and streamed on Sky Go and NOW, but most importantly, free-to-air on TV8. The opponent will be Alexander Zverev, fresh from his first Grand Slam title won on the Parisian clay of Roland Garros, against fellow Italian Flavio Cobolli. The German defeated the surprising Briton Arthur Fery, who had escaped from qualifying, in the semifinals, thus advancing to his second consecutive Grand Slam final. From Monday Zverev will still climb to world number 2 by overtaking Alcaraz.

There are numerous precedents between Sinner and Zverev: To date, the two have already faced each other 14 times, and the record is clearly in favor of the South Tyrolean. The 24-year-old from San Candido has in fact gotten the better of his opponent on 10 occasions and, above all, has won 9 of the last 9 meetings, 4 of which in 2026, all in the Masters 1000: the Indian Wells semifinal, the Miami semifinal, the Monte Carlo semifinal, and the Madrid final. Zverev's last win dates back to 2023, in the round of 16 of the US Open., when he won in five hard-fought sets with the score of 6-4, 3-6, 6-2, 4-6, 6-3.
