The Board of Directors of Ania has made official, on the proposal of President Liverani, the new governance appointments, with the designation of four Vice Presidents and the formation of the Executive Committee

Il Board of Directors of the National Association of Insurance Companies (ANIA) has new appointments made official of the governing bodies provided for by the Statute, which will be immediately operational. Upon proposal of the new president Giovanni Liverani, the Council has selected a team of high-caliber professionals from the leading companies in the Italian insurance sector.

Ania: the new vice-presidents

Among the main appointments, the following stands out: designation of four vice-presidents who, with their vast experience in the insurance landscape, will bring value and expertise to the leadership of the Association. The designated Vice Presidents are:

  • Giancarlo Fancel, Country Manager & CEO of Generali Italia;
  • Andrew Novelli, Chief Executive Officer and General Manager of Poste Vita and President of Poste Assicura;
  • Virginia Borla, Chief Executive Officer and General Manager of Intesa Sanpaolo Assicurazioni;
  • Giacomo Campora, Chief Executive Officer and General Manager of Allianz SpA

Ania: the new executive committee

Alongside the Vice Presidents, the new Executive Committee which, in addition to the top members, also includes other key figures:

  • Chiara Soldano, CEO of Axa Italia;
  • Luca Filippone, General Manager of the Reale Mutua di Assicurazioni Company;
  • Bruno Andrea Scaroni, CEO of the Zurich Italia Group;
  • Luigi Del Fabbro, President of Mediolanum Assicurazioni and Mediolanum Vita;
  • Caesar Caldarelli, Chief Executive Officer of Vittoria Assicurazioni;
  • Alberto Tosti, General Manager of Sara Assicurazioni and Sara Vita.

The association is thus preparing to face the challenges of the insurance sector with a team of experts from the main market players.

“The insurance sector in Italy is a part fundamental to the country's socio-economic system: protects against risks and satisfies the pension and savings needs of millions of families and businesses of all sizes, with a considerable amount of investments", Liverani commented after the appointment. "I will aim to Strengthen the relevance of the sector, to expand the offer of protection, prevention and social security in Italy and to involve all the companies in the market in our action".
