A Brazilian from Sao Paulo and a Venetian are world champions of Tiramisu

He is a lawyer by profession but when he gets behind the stove to cook a Tiramisu he is unbeatable. Patricia Guerra from San Paolo (Brazil), 48 years old, is the 2023 champion of the Tiramisù World Cup – Treviso e il Caffè. Wrapped in the Brazilian flag at the moment of the award ceremony, moved, Patricia Guerra declared: «I thank my family and those who have accompanied me up to here, on this long journey. Thanks to the Tiramisu!».

Ex aequo next to her was Mario De Santis from Quarto d'Altino (Venice), a 41-year-old employee of a fire-fighting company who won with the creative recipe of Cinnamon Tiramisu "Dalì", dark chocolate and quince pear jam.

Patricia Guerra and Mario De Santis established themselves after a fierce final which saw the participation of 240 competitors from all over the world.

Also reaching the Finals were: for the original recipe Stefano Storti (public official) from Ferrara, Elisabetta Zanette (legal employee) from Treviso, Cielo Fitipaldi (student) from Montevideo (Uruguay).

For the creative recipe, the finalists were Vanessa Orso (administrative employee) from Vicenza with a tiramisu with basil, lemon, orange chocolate and almonds; Fabio Dall'Acqua (painting worker) from Conegliano with a Tiramisu “Strudel”) with cinnamon, pine nuts, icing cane sugar, Matilde Vicenzi millefeuille.

The victory over 240 competitors from all over the world

The two Champions triumphed by obtaining the favors of a jury composed of, among others, Laura Forti of “La Cucina Italiana” (president of the Jury), James Hoffmann (author and YouTuber), Alberto Grandi (teacher of Food History), Andrea d'Angelo (CEO Strega), Manuel Gobbo (chef at Le Beccherie restaurant), Dania Sartorato (president of Fipe and Confcommercio Unione provinciale Treviso), Massimo Linguanotto (son of Roberto “Loli” Linguanotto, noble father of the Treviso Tiramisù), Giuseppe Salvador (2022 TWC Champion for the original recipe) and Marina Summa (2022 TWC Truck for the creative recipe).

BeautyDrop Treviso Beauty Award, awarded for the most beautiful Tiramisu to Cielo Fitipaldi from Montevideo (Uruguay) for the original recipe and Fabio Dall'Acqua from Conegliano for the creative recipe creative recipe.
