School and young people: "Which world, which futures", a new book by the MCE that makes you think

Which Planet and which Future will we leave to young people? Environmental degradation, climate change, social inequalities, growing reduction of resources, with consequent transmigration of peoples, pandemics and new outbreaks of war make the future increasingly uncertain. The concern among young people is strong, their state of malaise is growing and hope for the future is increasingly conditioned by fears for the present.

Faced with the scenarios outlined by the2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development, the world of school and education is engaged in the search for new teaching strategies and teaching practices, to develop social and civic skills and train citizens capable of reading reality and making choices for the future.

An example of such a commitment is What world what futures, the latest book published by the Asterios publisher for the Momovement di Coperation Eeducational. Intended for teachers, educators, socio-cultural operators, environmentalists, researchers, young people sensitive to these issues and who want to embark on an educational path on the future, the book was written by Giancarlo Cavinato, Marta Fontana, Leonardo Leonetti e Patrizia Scotto Lachianca, authors engaged for many years with the MCE in training, for a democratic and cooperative school.
