Il Life Sciences Cluster of Friuli Venezia Giulia, managed by Northern Adriatic Technological Pole, on behalf of the Autonomous Region of Friuli Venezia Giulia, has assigned a grant of 10 thousand euros to the 11 best innovative ideas selected through a Call 4 Ideas. This initiative is aimed at startups, spin-offs, micro, small and medium-sized regional, Italian and foreign companies, which present innovative ideas and projects in the Life Sciences sector aimed at identifying new technological solutions to improve the quality of human life .
The Cluster promotes collaboration and innovation through the exchange and transfer of knowledge and skills, thus contributing to the development and enhancement of the regional Life Sciences ecosystem.
The winners of the Call 4 Ideas
I winners of the Call 4 Ideas, who will have access to a call for a second line of financing of 150 thousand euros each to transform ideas into research projects to be developed in synergy with consolidated entities operating in the area, come from: Piedmont (Aequip Srl and Coqua Lab Srl), Lombardy (Braindtech Spa), Marche (Biochica Srl and Nanodent Srl), Puglia (Regenerabioma Srl) and Friuli Venezia Giulia (Recornea Srl, Ulisse Biomed Spa, Epigen Therapeutics Srl, Futura Società Cooperativa Sociale Onlus and Liondx Srl).

Enhance the Life Sciences ecosystem
The Cluster thus wants to comply with the mandate of the Region enhance its Life Sciences ecosystem through the development of a coherent set of initiatives and projects in the field of Life Sciences. Starting from promoting synergistic collaboration between the entities operating in the area - research institutes, IRCCS, universities, higher technological institutes and businesses - the objective is to achieve ever greater integration between research, innovation and business. This synergy will be a further source of attractiveness for innovative ideas and investments.

Il SDV Cluster, as part of the regional smart specialization strategy (S4) for the “Health, Quality of life, Agri-food and Bioeconomy” area, operates on four trajectories: systems and solutions for maintaining health and supporting treatment (nutraceuticals, food supplements, functional foods, medical nutrition and functional cosmetics); innovative biomedical solutions and systems: integrated development of medical devices; solutions and systems for innovative therapies; active & assisted living solutions and systems to support frailty.
