The latest version of the draft decree on citizen's income has further limited the conditions and above all the duration of the allowance. In fact, while in the previous versions the beneficiary lost the right to the third refusal of a "fair offer", now instead it is established that if the first or second offer arrives after the first 12 months, the refusal still entails the forfeiture of the grant. In practice: if all three offers arrive within the first year of the request, the person entitled can refuse the first two; if, on the other hand, the first offer arrives after the first 12 months, it will automatically be the definitive one. Take or leave. Otherwise goodbye to income, which by law will not last more than 18 months, only to be renewed.
However, the offer to be non-rejectable must have some characteristics. If it arrives in the first six months it must be within 100 kilometers of the residence, after six months it is also reasonable within 250 kilometers, while any offer after 18 months becomes reasonable, and therefore at the time of any renewal of the basic income. Anyone who agrees to move will still be rewarded in some way: phe will be able to enjoy another three months of the allowance, which will be paid in this case as a form of compensation for the transfer costs. Government sources explain that this type of benefit in the final version of the decree could be extended up to twelve months.

As for the start of the reform, it is confirmed for the month of April. Not the first, because Minister Luigi Di Maio is concerned about possible ironies in conjunction with the "April fool's day", but in any case within that month, to then be effectively disbursed starting from May. In fact, INPS, according to the latest version of the decree, will have 30 days to prepare the forms through which interested parties will be able to request citizenship income, which must then be paid from the month following the month of submission of the application.
