Wild Wines: Independent winemakers from across Europe gather in Rome for the Natural Wine Fair.

Meet in Rome from March 7th to 9th, in the San Paolo District, to learn about natural wines and artisanal agriculture. Meet independent winemakers from Italy, France, Slovenia, Spain, and Austria, selected for their artisanal approach and environmentally responsible farming practices. Promote cultural explorations of sustainable agriculture, natural wine, and the transformations of contemporary rural life. The event kicks off on March 7th with the opening party of "Naturalmente Selvaggi!"

Born as a meeting place for winemakers, professionals, and the enthusiastic public, Vini Selvaggi has over the years become a national reference point for those seeking authenticity, agricultural consistency, and a cultural vision alternative to industrial models in wine. "An event that focuses on rural work, respect for the land, and a culture of conscious drinking, free from trends and standardization," say organizers Lorenzo Macinanti and Giulia Arimattei.

The 2026 edition will bring together over 120 independent winemakers from Italy, France, Spain, Slovenia, and Austria, with many exciting new additions. As every year, the focus is on new wineries, often little-known even to the most discerning audience. The tasting will feature wines with distinctive identities, often unconventional, yet deeply rooted in their territories of origin.

Vini Selvaggi also establishes itself as a forum for producers, restaurateurs, distributors, journalists, and enthusiasts to meet, fostering direct relationships and promoting a short and informed supply chain. Alongside the exhibition, the program includes cultural insights into sustainable agriculture, natural wine, and the transformations of contemporary rural life.

The Food Area – Artigiani del Gusto complements the wine offerings with a selection of quality outlets: La Polpetteria, Stracotteria, Spaccio, ReCUP, and Twist & Chips will offer a selection that combines the valorization of raw materials with creative recovery, helping to define a convivial space for a delicious break.

The coffee offering will feature PicaPau and Origine, specialty projects focused on supply chain quality, conscious selection of raw materials, and the development of a coffee culture.

The Spirits & Craft Beers Corner, featuring DrinkIt, Distillerie Capitoline, L'Ardente, Liquorificio 4.0, and Birrificio Freelions, expands the exhibition with a selection of independent producers who interpret fermentation and distillation in an artisanal way, with a focus on research, territorial identity, and production quality. A brand new addition to the 2026 edition will be the "Naturalmente Selvaggi!" festival on Saturday, March 7th. The event features a market area and tastings, designed to foster direct contact between producers and the public, as well as informed purchasing of the featured labels.

The "Naturalmente Selvaggi" event will feature groups of winemakers—some not present during the official days of the fair—with tastings and a focus on specific areas and local groups, including producers from the Associazione Vignaioli Vulcani Laziali, Ciociaria Naturale, and the Senza Meja group between the Collio and the Italian and Slovenian Karst, with wineries such as Radikon, Nikolas Juretic, and Paraschos. StappaLa and Frisson will liven up the day with musical performances and wine tasting sessions, enhancing the convivial aspect of the event. Admission is free and open to the public, with paid service. For more information, visit the official website: www.viniselvaggi.com
