In less than a week Wimbledon will officially reopen its doors, with attention already focused on Jannik Sinner: the world number one will return to the Center court, right where he lifted the Championships trophy a year ago. The debut of the Italian number one is scheduled for Monday, June 29th at 14:30 PM Italian time, with the possibility of a seven-match journey up to the final on Sunday 13 July, in an attempt to defend the title won in 2025.
The return to the London grass comes after about a month of stoppage, following the elimination in the second round of Roland Garros against Juan Manuel Cerúndolo, a match he won in five sets and hindered by a physical issue that limited his performance. This phase required management and recovery before the transition to the fastest surface of the season.
As the Slam approaches, Sinner has already regained confidence on the courts of the All England Club and will complete his preparations for theHurlingham Club, where the traditional Giorgio Armani Tennis Classic: last test on grass before the official debut at Wimbledon.
Wimbledon 2025 draw: date, time, and where to watch it
To know the name of the first opponent and the potential path to a new triumph we will have to wait Friday June 26, when at 11:00 Italian time The main draw will be streamed live on the official Wimbledon website, in the Live Video & Radio section of the Watch & Listen menu. The draw will be crucial in determining the path of Sinner and the other tournament protagonists, in a draw that could already feature some very high-level clashes.
The structure of the tournament is already defined: the upper part of the draw will take to the field on Monday 29 June, while the lower part will make its debut on Tuesday 30 June. All the matches will be transmitted live on Sky Sports e streaming on Sky Go and Now.
Sinner at the Giorgio Armani Tennis Classic: final test before Wimbledon
The exhibition tournament – born in 1994 and dedicated for the occasion to the late designer – will open Tuesday 23 June with two matches starting at 6pm (Italian time), while from Wednesday 24th to Saturday 27th Three matches per day are scheduled, starting at 15:30 PM. The format includes singles matches between players from the ATP circuit and doubles matches, including former champions.
Alongside Sinner there will be other Italian players such as Flavio Cobolli e Luciano Darderi, along with a high-level field that includes, among others, Casper Ruud, Karen Khachanov, Cameron norrie, Ben Shelton e Jiri Lehecka. There will also be a “legends” component, with names like michael chang, David Ferrer, Marcos Baghdatis, Mansour Bahrami, Flavia Pennetta e Monica Puig.
One last test before the big goal: defending the title on the most prestigious courts in world tennis.
ATP Rankings: Sinner extends lead over Alcaraz, Cobolli enters top 10
Seventy-seven weeks: Sinner further consolidates its global leadership. The Italian number one leads the ATP rankings with 13.450 points, before Carlos Alcaraz stopped at 9.460 and forced to chase without being able to defend important points at Wimbledon. Behind him remains stable the third place occupied by Alexander Zverev, fresh from winning his first Slam.
