The Dutch case with the recent electoral victory of far right sovereignist and anti-Islamic of Gert Wilders (but whether he manages to form a government remains to be seen) is the confirmation of an ongoing trend in Europe that is changing the cards on the table. The former French president, Francois hollande, he writes on the progressive site LeJournal.info that the European sovereign right, which obviously also includes the Italian one, has changed tactics and no longer aims to exit the Ue but to sabotage it from within. These far-right parties, Hollande claims, no longer propose exit from the EU or the euro and welcome the advantages but "break with the principles of solidarity that founded the European Union" and "under their influence Europe risks being reduced to a simple free trade zone" and to "remain gradually paralyzed on a political level, including support for Ukraine", as the former Italian prime minister recently warned Mario Draghi. “The sovereignists are there and they no longer need to leave Europe, it is Europe that will leave the mandate entrusted to it, that of building unity in diversity. Europe would no longer be the one to unite the nations – concludes Hollande bitterly – but Europe would be the slave of the nations”.
Hollande: "The sovereignist right (Italy included) changes tactics: no longer leaving the EU but sabotaging it from within"
According to former French President Francois Hollande, the European sovereignist far right no longer aims to leave the EU and the euro but to distort Europe from within by making it "the slave of the nations"
