Banca Generali leads as a first mover in extraordinary transactions
From 360-degree wealth management, including non-financial assets, to tailor-made vertical lines of asset management, through corporate advisory services (and investment banking with the entry of Intermonte into the group) to the service of the relationship of trust between consultant and entrepreneur, up to family wealth planning services, Banca Generali has been recognized growth in the segment and “first mover” initiatives in extraordinary transactions, highlighting the recent acquisition of Intermonte, which brings investment banking closer to private banking services, strengthening its position as a point of reference for dialogue with entrepreneurs.
Since Gian Maria Mossa's appointment as CEO ten years ago, Banca Generali has quadrupled in size, accelerating the growth of customized solutions and platforms dedicated to bankers and private and high net worth (HNW) clients. In particular, this latter segment, consisting of individuals with assets exceeding €5 million, often entrepreneurs and characterized by complex needs, now represents approximately a third of the bank's private assets, with over 30 billion euros and almost 2.500 clients, out of a total of "private" assets of more than 80 billion, equal to 73% of the total 113 billion.
Commentary by CEO Gian Maria Mossa
"We are honored by the recognition from Euromoney's respected panel of judges, who have been engaging with global investors for years and fostering information, data transparency, and thus market flows. Our banking group is growing significantly among high-net-worth clients, such as entrepreneurs or families with complex needs, thanks to our strong commitment to the quality of our offering and our ongoing investments in innovation, both in tools and solutions, to better address the challenges of wealth protection. But above all, it is our people, with their skills and professionalism, who contribute to this distinctive journey. We are working on multiple projects, from digital assets to private markets, through the new frontiers of active management and the contribution of investment banking for businesses, for a new private banking model where technology becomes a driver for developing the bond of trust between client and banker, which is the heart of our business model," commented the CEO of Banca Generali, Gian Maria Mossa.
