After a long illness he died during the night in Rome Alfredo Recanatesi, one of the most authoritative Italian economic journalists. Former deputy director of "The Sun 24” and then editorialist of “The print"A refined journalist from Recanati, possessing rare expertise and great independence of judgment, a reserved man yet rich in sensitivity and profound humanity, he explained the secrets of economics and finance to his readers for decades. Monetary policy and economic policy were for many years at the center of his reflections and writings. From Guido Carli onward, he always had a direct line to the Governors of the Bank of Italy, who considered him a highly credible point of reference in the journalistic world. He leaves a deep regret in all those fortunate enough to have known him.
FIRSTonline expresses its sincerest condolences to the Recanatesi family.
