Fine coming for mister Michael O'Leary, number 1 of the Ryanair. In fact, theAntitrust ha fined la low cost airline for 550 thousand euros due to unfair business practices.
The Antitrust fine relates to the methods of passenger assistance and Ryanair provides through the service of call center which can only be reached via premium rate numbers.

Last June, the Authority had opened proceedings against the low-cost airline after numerous proceedings reports from passengers and consumer associations who complained of the extreme difficulty and onerousness of getting in touch with the operator to exercise specific contractual prerogatives. Among these, the request for assistance for boarding people with reduced mobility; the choice of a replacement flight in the event of changes to the flight plan ordered by the same company; modification of the reservation made before the flight; the request for the refund of the sums erroneously charged at the time of booking and for the issuance of the commercial invoice for the flight purchased, in addition to the use of credit bonuses granted by the carrier.

The Authority has granted to Ryanair 90 days within which to communicate how it will try to eliminate the unfair commercial practices identified. The company has begun to intervene during the procedure opened in June but has not yet eliminated all the critical issues identified by the Authority.
