From 28nd June in Italy it is the obligation to wear masks outdoors has been revoked. This was confirmed by the Minister of Health, Roberto Speranza, after having received the opinion of the same day Scientific Technical Committee. Barring twists and turns, in fact, in a week the country will be entirely in the white area: also Val d'Aosta, the only region at the moment with minimal restrictions.
They are the numbers of the pandemic to allow for an easing of the restrictive measures. The incidence of infections remains low: under 50 cases per 100 people on a weekly basis.
In short, according to the experts of the CTS, there are now the conditions to remove the mask. But be careful: the revocation of the obligation only applies outdoors and only in situations where it is possible to maintain a safe distance from other people. The mask will continue to be mandatory in all enclosed spaces and on public transport.
Italy is not the first country to move in this direction. There France already last Thursday he said goodbye to the obligation to wear a mask outdoors, while in Germany the device can also be dispensed with in closed places, where the incidence is particularly low. Also Spain e Greece they are preparing for the arrival of tourists for the summer season by revoking the obligation to wear masks outdoors.
As for the topic of discos in Italy, the discussion on their reopening has been further postponed. This is the only sector for which a restart date has not yet been set. The discussion will be addressed in the next few days: the managers have sent a protocol for the safe reopening to the technical-scientific committee.
The guidelines should provide for the obligation of a green pass to access the premises, new standards for the sanitization of environments, the use of disposable materials for drinks and the traceability of customers also through the online purchase of tickets.
