Ferragamo: the guide goes to Gobbetti (Burberry)

New changing of the guard in Ferragamo. Marco Gobbetti, current CEO of Burberry, is the new CEO and general manager. The appointment was announced even if, due to agreements with Lvmh where Gobbetti currently operates as CEO of Burberry, the manager will not arrive in the Italian luxury house before the end of the year.

The official note states that Salvatore Ferragamo Spa, the parent company of the Salvatore Ferragamo luxury group, and Ferragamo Finanziaria, the controlling shareholder of Salvatore Ferragamo, have reached an agreement with the manager. Gobbetti will assume the position as soon as he is free from his contractual obligations. The manager, who has a long and relevant professional career in the luxury and fashion sector, in the past he was CEO of Moschino, spent 13 years in the Lvmh group where he held the position of CEO of Givenchy and Celine, before holding the current position at Burberry. An extraordinary board of directors of Salvatore Ferragamo Spa is scheduled for July XNUMX for the necessary formalities. Burberry in turn announced in a note that it expects the manager to stay "until the end of the year".

At the end of January, Ferragamo Finanziaria, the controlling holding company of the group, announced the departure of the historical manager Joseph Anichini and the entrance of Claudius Costamagna, investment banker with long experience, former EMEA manager of Goldman Sachs, and in the past president of CDP. After Donald Kohler's departure from the scene last March, the role of Ad was entrusted to Micaela Le Divelec Lemmi in 2018. A board of directors convened on 1 July to validate the decision.
