Confindustria, the recession will continue throughout 2012

The study by the Confindustria Study Center publishes its usual report on the health of the economy “Congiuntura Flash” – The light cannot be seen at the end of the recession and Europe is responsible.

Confindustria, the recession will continue throughout 2012

The world economy in trouble e the recession in Italy set to continue. This is the verdict of the Congiuntura Flash study of the Confindustria study centre. In the second half of 2012 all indicators showed a decline in the economy.

Particularly the slowdown in orders removed the possibility of a recovery for the second half of the year. A trend that seems to have no end despite a slight slowdown in the decline in the summer. The responsibilities, according to the CSC, are precise, the management of the crises uncertain by the European institutions and the recovery policies too restrictive: "almost everything now depends on the evolution of the situation in Euroland, which increasingly appears trapped in a depressive spiral".

In detail, “NoIn fact, the pool of people in the CIG is not emptied, which was estimated by the CSC at 370 standard work units in June (+36,2% compared to August 2011). In May the unemployed in Italy (almost 2,6 million) represented 10,1% of the workforce (8,2% in August 2011). Faced with substantially stable employment (+0,1% in nine months), there are an increasing number of people, especially women, who were previously inactive and who are now assiduously looking for a job to replenish the family budget", underlines the center Education.

“The expansion of the workforce (+0,2% on April, +2,0% on August 2011) – explains the CSC – will also continue in the coming months. In fact, both the fears of a worsening of the family economic situation and the fear of the unemployment trend are high (index at 112 in July, +25 points since December). Consumer confidence thus remains at an all-time low (index at 86,5)”.
